Connecting Emotionally to Your Songs
The most important thing you can do to improve your voice is to start singing regularly. In this lesson, we will cover how to warm up your voice, what types of songs to work with, and why emotions and body language are essential aspects of good singing.
Warm up with Scale 11 or 30 with your finger on your larynx. Try to keep it from rising as you sing higher. Sing "Gug Gug" and "May May"
Choose three songs that you really love to sing. Practice using body language and change in dynamics to connect with your songs on an emotional level.
Practice everyday for 15-30 minutes with your warmups and songs.
